My Take On The First Presidential Debate

As I watched the debate, Friday evening, I was struck by the immense gap in maturity and experience between the two candidates, both in their grasp of the issues and in their personal demeanor. Senator McCain came across as both mature and experienced with a phenomenal understanding of the issues and the ability to articulate them in a solid and understandable way without the overuse of tired campaign talking points. Senator McCain was very respectful toward his opponent, and his office as a US Senator, always addressing him as "Senator Obama" and listening respectfully as Senator Obama struggled to make even the most basic points.

In stark contrast to Senator McCain, Senator Obama came across as a disrespectful immature adolescent with little life experience and a very limited of grasp of the issues, unable to articulate even his limited understandings without relying on memorized talking points written for him by others. Senator Obama was very disrespectful toward Senator McCain, a Senatorial senior statesman, referring to him as "John" and speaking in a condescending adolescent manner that revealed his immaturity both politically and emotionally.

Before you vote this November, ask yourself, Do I want the equivalent of an disrespectful adolescent know-it-all in the White House? As Senator McCain said so well, Senator Obama does not have the experience (and may I add the maturity) for the job of President of the United States of America.
